Bruce Mina has been licensed in New Yor
k State as a Certified Public Accountant for over 30 years. He is experienced in litigation support and valuation assignments regarding business valuations, damage studies, appraisal engagements and divorce litigation services. Mr. Mina's large client base includes manufacturing and service organzations. He has experience in real estate ventures, developmental stage businesses, initial public offering activities for start-up ventures and he is the tax and financial consultant to numerous actors, actresses, and sports celebrities.
Business valuation and litigation support services have been rendered for a variety of purposes including: family law matters, business damages, lender liability litigation, buy-sell agreements, shareholder litigation, estate and gift tax matters, buying and selling businesses, malpractice litigation, wrongful death, sexual discrimination, age discrimination, wrongful termination and breach of contract. Representation in litigation includes plaintiff, defendant, mutual, and court-appointed neutral.
Mr. Mina has been retained as a business appraiser, expert witness, consultant, forensic examiner, auditor, accountant and tax planner by business owners and corporate officers, attorneys, and municipalities to provide services in four principal disciplines: Business Appraisal and Enterprise Valuation; Forensic Examination and Litigation Support; Auditor, Accountant and Tax Planner; Financial Specialist - Collaborative Divorce.
Assignments in Litigation Support include the development of estimates of business value, economic loss, lost wages, lost earnings and other damages in civil and criminal matters. Mr. Mina has prepared written reports on these matters and personally provides expert testimony at trial. He has testified on various matters and has been qualified as an expert witness in Business Valuation, Lost Earnings, Economic Loss, Forensic Discovery and Veracity and similar matters.

Joanne Llano has been in public accounting for over 25 years. She is experienced in all areas of business and individual tax, as well as small business accounting and consulting, tax planning, financial statement preparation, not-for-profit accounting, and auditing. She earned her bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Muhlenberg College. Prior to joining Mina Llano Higgins Group, Joanne was senior accountant at another firm, and maintained her own private practice.
Joanne has served and continues to serve as treasurer, board member, committee member, and consultant to various not-for-profit organizations, giving her extensive practical experience in the not-for-profit sector.
An avid singer and a strong supporter of the musical arts, Joanne sings both professionally and on a volunteer basis. She is a member of various local choruses and small ensembles.

Steve Higgins has over 20 years experience as a Certified Public Accountant. He started his career with the "Big Eight" firm of Coopers and Lybrand where he gained extensive experience in auditing and the preparation of financial statements. Prior to becoming an accountant, Steve worked in the retail, savings bank, and life insurance industries, which, in addition to their respective knowledge requirements, all focused on high levels of customer satisfaction, which he has taken into the way he treats his clients. Steve has also worked for small firms and maintained his own practive since 1983, where he has gained extensive experience in dealing with issues faced by closely held business. In addition to his experience in public accounting for ten years, Steve was a Vice President and the Chief FInancial Officer of a Long Island based software developer. As the CFO, among other things, his responsibilities included contract negotiation, staff management, human resources, strategic planning, preparation of business plans, meeting with vendors and banking relationships, tax planning and interfacing with various state governments.
